First 24 hours
Extraction and drying start. Water is usually still clean, most materials can be saved, and the job stays small.
Carpet wet right now? Ring our 24-hour emergency line on 0483 982 111. What matters most is how long it has been wet. Water damage is a different job at two days than at two hours, because clean water turns dirty and mould can start. Burst pipes, storms and appliance leaks in Darwin, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Tasmania.
We tell you what to do while we are on the way, then extract the water, dry it properly, measure it every day and give you a report you can pass to your insurer. Black water (sewage) and grey water clean-ups are quoted after an inspection.
Water leaves the floor and goes into walls, cavities, subfloors and cabinetry. Surface drying makes a room look fine while the structure behind it is still holding moisture.
Every job is sorted by how contaminated the water is and how hard it will be to dry. Those two things decide what can be saved and what has to go.
Time is the whole service. Water from a clean source can turn contaminated within a day or two, and warm weather speeds that up.
We clean up black water (sewage) and grey water (washing machines, showers, dishwashers) as well as clean water, quoted after an inspection. If mould is already showing, see mould cleaning. For routine carpet cleaning with no water event behind it, see carpet cleaning.
Faster than most people expect.
Extraction and drying start. Water is usually still clean, most materials can be saved, and the job stays small.
Clean water begins to degrade and mould can start. Underlay and plasterboard move from dryable to replaceable.
More material has to come out rather than be dried, and the scope grows. That work is quoted after we have seen it.
Decided by the kind of water and how long it sat, not by guesswork.
Fans alone do not dry a house. Without dehumidifiers you are moving wet air around a room.
Dry to the touch and dry to a meter are different things.

Moisture in affected and unaffected materials recorded before equipment goes in.
Step 02
Readings taken every day and the equipment moved to follow what is still wet.
Step 03
Equipment comes out when the readings match the unaffected areas, not when a schedule says.
Step 04
Source, timeline, daily readings and photographs, ready to pass to your insurer.
The cause changes across the country, and so does when it happens.
Wherever you are, the first question we ask is when it started, not how much water there was.
Four things that decide how big this ends up being.
Claims turn on the source, the type of water, how long it sat and what was done about it.
You get daily moisture readings and photographs, then a full report at the end. Scope is easier to agree when it rests on readings rather than opinions.
Water from a clean source can turn contaminated within a day or two, and warm weather speeds it up. That change moves materials from dryable to disposable.
A small leak found late can cost more than a large one caught the same day.
Carpet is often salvageable when the water was clean and caught early. Underlay usually is not, because it holds moisture against the floor.
We lift the carpet and dry it from both sides rather than running a fan across the top. Then we tell you plainly which parts are worth keeping.
Sewage, floodwater and grey water from appliances carry contamination that changes what can be kept. Porous materials they touched usually come out rather than being dried.
We do this clean-up too. We inspect first and quote it after we have seen it, rather than publishing a price for it.
Here is what sits behind the work.
On what is wet and how long it has been wet.
Where the water came from, when it started, and how many rooms are affected.
Type of water and baseline readings, with a scope you can give your insurer.
Priced against the drying scope, with daily readings until it is dry.
Time affects the price more than volume does. A small leak found after a week can cost more than a large one caught the same day, because more material has to come out.
Black water and grey water clean-ups are quoted after an inspection. Much of this work runs through an insurance claim, and we document it so your insurer has what they need.

Ring our 24-hour emergency line on 0483 982 111 as soon as you find the water. Tell us where it came from and when it started, and we will tell you what to do while we are on the way.
Not in a way that saves it. The pile can feel dry on top while the underlay and the floor beneath still hold water, and that is where the trouble starts. Anything beyond a small spill needs the moisture pulled out rather than left to evaporate.
Stop the water at the source if you safely can, and keep clear of anything electrical near it. Move small valuables off the wet floor, but leave the carpet down until we have seen it.
It comes down to your policy, so check your product disclosure statement or ring your insurer. We document the source, the timeline and the readings so the claim rests on evidence.
Often, and it is usually the underlay that has to go rather than the carpet itself. Whether it survives comes down to how clean the water was and how long it sat. We make that call at the assessment and show you the readings behind it.
Yes. Black water (sewage and floodwater) and grey water clean-ups are quoted after an inspection, because what has to come out depends on what we find. Keep people and pets off the affected area until we have seen it.
Normally several days, running continuously. The machines are noisy and will lift your power bill that week, which is worth knowing before you agree to it.
Call us anyway, because a fan and an open window do not reach inside a wall cavity. We can take readings and tell you whether anything is still wet.
We stay until it's right
