Mattress Steam Cleaning Services in Australia

You wash your sheets every week. Mattress steam cleaning in Australia deals with the thing underneath them, which in most homes has never been washed at all. Sweat and body oils go straight through a sheet and stay in the foam.

We extract it back out in your own bedroom, on the frame, with nothing dismantled. Single through to king, one side or both, in Darwin, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Tasmania. From $99 including GST, with a before and after report, and our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work.

  • Hot water extraction, not a surface spray
  • Underside checked for damp and mould
  • Before and after photos of every face cleaned

What comes out of a mattress that has never been cleaned?

Sweat, body oils and skin cells, plus whatever has been spilt on it over the years. A fitted sheet slows none of it down.

We inject hot water and solution into the surface, then draw it back out under vacuum. That lifts what has soaked in instead of pushing it further down.

This is a cleaning service, not a pest treatment. Bed bugs need a licensed pest controller, and no steam clean will deal with an infestation. We will tell you if we see signs of one.

Sofas and armchairs use the same method on a different scope. See upholstery steam cleaning.

How often does a mattress actually need this?

Three patterns cover most bedrooms.

Every 12 months

An adult bed in a dry room with a protector on it.

Every 6 months

Children's beds, pets on the bed, or a humid coastal bedroom.

One-off, as needed

After illness, after bedwetting, before a guest stays, or when you take over a second-hand bed.

Which beds and sizes do our crews handle?

Priced by size, and you choose one side or both.

Every standard size

  • Single and king single
  • Double and queen
  • King
  • Bunk and trundle beds
  • Sofa bed mattresses

Every construction

  • Innerspring and pocket coil
  • Pillow top and euro top
  • Memory foam and hybrid
  • Latex
  • Mattress toppers

The parts people forget

  • Side panels and piping
  • Seams and quilting channels
  • Handles and vent mesh
  • The underside
  • The base beneath it

Checked before we start

  • Fabric and quilting type
  • Existing stains photographed
  • Damp under the mattress
  • Signs of pests, flagged not treated
  • Whether the foam is still sound

If a mattress is past saving we say so. Paying to clean collapsed foam is money you will not get back.

How do we clean a bed without soaking it?

Four steps. Control of the water is the whole job.

Contact us
  1. Step 01

    We lift and look

Underside and base checked for damp before anything else happens.

  2. Step 02

    Dry pass and pre-treat

Surface debris off first, then stains treated so extraction can lift them.

  3. Step 03

    Inject and extract

Short passes with heavy extraction. Foam holds water, so we take more out than we put in.

  4. Step 04

    Report and sign-off

Photos of every face we cleaned, and our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work.

How does your climate change what ends up in your mattress?

Your body puts the same moisture into the bed wherever you live. What changes is whether it ever gets out again.

  • Darwin. Wet season air is already saturated, so nightly moisture has nowhere to evaporate. Undersides on solid bases can go mouldy within a season
  • Brisbane and Sydney. Humid through the warmer months. Moisture works down through the layers and sits in the base of the mattress
  • Melbourne and Tasmania. Heated bedrooms against cold external walls. Beds pushed into a corner collect condensation underneath all winter
  • Perth and Adelaide. Hot summers, but dry air pulls the moisture back out. Dust in the quilting is the bigger issue
  • Any home with a solid base. Plywood or a platform with no slats traps everything underneath, whatever the climate

That is why our crews lift the mattress before they clean it. The top is rarely the worst part.

Why let our crews near the bed you sleep in?

Four things that decide whether a mattress clean helps or just makes it damp.

Mattress steam cleaning in Australia that reaches past the sheet

Washing bedding weekly is the standard advice, and it works on the sheet. It does nothing for the foam underneath, where sweat and body oils end up.

Hot water extraction draws that back out along with skin cells and old spills. It is the only part of the bed you cannot put through a machine.

Mattress cleaning built for humid Australian bedrooms

In Darwin after the wet, or Brisbane in February, the air cannot take on more moisture. A bed left damp by a careless clean grows the exact thing you paid to remove.

We extract far harder than we inject and match the number of passes to the weather that day. You get the drying window before we start, not once the van has gone.

We lift the mattress before we clean it

Plenty of mattress problems are underneath, not on top. Solid bases and platforms with no slats trap moisture against the base of the foam until it spots.

Our crews check the underside and the base before anything else. If the real problem is the bed frame, we tell you that rather than sell you a clean that will not hold past the next wet season.

A photo report on every mattress clean in Australia

A mattress is the one thing in the house you cannot inspect while someone is cleaning it, because it has to be stripped and it is still damp when they leave.

You get before and after shots of the top, the sides and the underside. Existing stains and any damage are photographed before we start, so nothing gets disputed once the bed is made up again.

You cannot put a mattress through a machine, and almost nobody looks under one. That is the part we start with.

What stands behind a job done in your bedroom?

Bedrooms are the most personal room we enter. Here is what sits behind it.

Underside checked first

Damp and mould found before we clean.

Stains photographed first

Nothing disputed once the bed is made.

Equipment supplied

Extraction machine and solutions brought in.

Drying window up front

You know when the bed is usable again.

Honest about write-offs

We say when a mattress is past cleaning.

What do mattress cleaning customers report?

What does mattress steam cleaning cost in Australia?

Priced by bed size. One side or both, and you choose.

Scope NSW VIC QLD WA SA TAS NT
Single Single-sided $120 $115 $109 $110 $100 $99 $120
King single Single-sided $130 $125 $119 $120 $110 $109 $130
Double Single-sided $149 $140 $135 $130 $125 $120 $149
Queen Single-sided $170 $165 $150 $155 $145 $140 $170

Both sides From, adjusted for size $270 $255 $245 $240 $225 $220 $270

Doing the whole house is cheaper per bed. Setting up the machine takes the same time for one mattress or four, so a three bedroom home booked together costs less than the same beds on separate visits.

Heavy urine saturation is quoted on inspection, because the answer depends on how far it reached into the foam.

What else is worth doing while we are in the bedroom?

The machine is already set up, so these cost less booked together.

What do people ask about mattress steam cleaning?

How long does a mattress take to dry?

Usually four to six hours with the room ventilated. Humidity decides it, so a Darwin bedroom in the wet season takes longer than an Adelaide one in summer. We extract far more water than we put in and give you the drying window before we start.

Can you get urine out of a mattress?

Often, but it depends how far it soaked. Fresh or surface-level urine lifts well and the odour goes with it, while liquid that has reached the core foam is a different problem. We check the depth first and tell you honestly what will and will not shift.

Does mattress cleaning get rid of bed bugs?

No, and nobody offering a steam clean should tell you otherwise. Bed bugs need a licensed pest controller and a proper treatment plan. If our crew sees signs of them we stop, tell you, and point you to the right trade.

Is it worth paying to have both sides done?

It is if the mattress is flippable and has not been turned in years. The underside collects the moisture that works down through the foam, which is where mould starts in humid regions. If your mattress is one-sided with a pillow top, cleaning the base is not possible.

How often should a mattress be steam cleaned?

Every 12 months suits most adult beds. Move to every six months if pets sleep on the bed or the bedroom is humid. Children's beds and second-hand mattresses are worth doing sooner.

Can you clean memory foam and pillow top mattresses?

Yes, with a lighter touch. Foam holds water far more readily than innerspring, so we use shorter passes and heavier extraction on those. Pillow tops need extra time in the quilting seams, which is where the build-up collects.

What else in the bedroom needs the same treatment?

Most customers book more than one. Same crews, same standards, one invoice.
