Tile & Grout Cleaning in Sydney

Tile and Grout Cleaning in Sydney

Grout sits lower than the tiles around it, so every mop bucket and every shower drains into it. In time the lines turn grey or brown, even in a bathroom that is wiped down every week.

We scrub the tile and grout with a machine and recover the dirty water as we go. Pricing starts at $38 per square metre including GST, and our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work.

  • Tile type and condition checked first
  • Machine scrub with the dirty water recovered
  • Bathrooms, kitchens, laundries and entries
  • Before-and-after photos of each area

Why does grout stay dark after you mop it?

Grout is a cement mix with tiny pores. Dirt that soaks into those pores sits below the reach of a mop or a spray.

Mopping spreads dirty water from one line into the next, which is why a floor can look clean wet and dull again once dry. A machine scrub loosens the soil in the pores, and recovering the water straight away stops it settling back in.

Cleaning brings grout back to its own colour. It will not turn grey grout white, fill cracks or fix loose tiles. If we find those, we tell you before we start.

Which tiled areas do Sydney customers book most?

Wet areas and kitchens take the most wear, so they are where most bookings start.

Bathrooms and showers

Soap film and body oil collect in the shower floor and wall lines, and the corners stay damp longest.

Kitchens and laundries

Cooking grease settles on floor tiles and splashback grout, and laundry floors take detergent spills.

Entries and hallways

Grit from the street wears into the grout at the front door and along the main walkway.

What do we check and clean?

Your quote lists the rooms and square metres included.

Before we start

  • Ceramic, porcelain or natural stone
  • Sealed or unsealed surface
  • Cracked or missing grout
  • Loose or hollow-sounding tiles
  • Existing stains photographed

Floors

  • Bathroom and ensuite floors
  • Kitchen and laundry floors
  • Entries, hallways and living areas
  • Skirting tiles and thresholds

Wet areas

  • Shower floors and walls
  • Corners and around floor wastes
  • Splashbacks and vanity surrounds
  • Soap scum on tile faces

Finishing

  • Rinse and water recovery
  • Edges wiped down
  • Drying advice given
  • Photos sent to you

Marble, limestone and travertine react to acid and need gentler products. We confirm the stone type first and tell you if a surface is not suitable for machine cleaning.

How does a tile and grout clean work?

You approve the area and the price before any machine is switched on.

Contact us
  1. Step 01

    Measure and send photos

Tell us the rooms and rough square metres, and send a photo of the grout.

  2. Step 02

    Check the surface

The cleaner confirms the tile or stone type and tests a small hidden area.

  3. Step 03

    Scrub and recover

Solution is left to work, then the machine scrubs the lines and recovers the water.

  4. Step 04

    Rinse and report

The floor is rinsed, edges are wiped and you get the before-and-after photos.

What should you plan for in a Sydney home?

Sydney apartments and older houses each bring their own setup needs.

  • Apartment bookings may need a lift booking and parking instructions
  • The machine needs a power point and a tap near the work area
  • Move loose mats, bins and bathroom items before the visit
  • Tell us about older or patterned tiles so we can check them first

Floors are damp rather than wet when we leave, and a well-ventilated room dries faster. Keep rugs and mats off until the floor is fully dry.

What do Sydney customers ask about tile and grout cleaning?

How much does tile and grout cleaning cost in Sydney?

It is $38 per square metre including GST. A standard bathroom floor starts at $230 and a kitchen tiled floor at $275. We confirm the area and final price before the visit.

Will my grout go back to white?

It goes back to its own colour, which is often lighter than people expect. Grout that was grey or beige when it was laid will come back grey or beige.

Is machine cleaning safe on natural stone?

It can be, once we know what the stone is. Marble, limestone and travertine need gentle products, so we check first and test a hidden spot before starting.

Can you clean shower walls as well as the floor?

Yes. Shower walls, splashbacks and vanity surrounds can be added to the quote. Tell us which walls you want done when you send the floor area.

When can I walk on the floor again?

Most of the water is recovered during the clean, so the floor is damp rather than wet. Good airflow speeds up drying, and mats should stay off until it is fully dry.

Can tile and grout cleaning be added to an end of lease clean?

Yes. Add it when you book the end of lease clean, and we list it as a separate line in the quote.

Do the wet areas need anything else?

Most customers book more than one. Same crews, same standards, one invoice.
