What does a deep clean reach that a weekly visit does not?

A regular clean holds a home at a standard. A deep clean takes it back to a baseline.

We move appliances, strip the oven, scrub grout line by line and wash skirtings, frames and tracks. Behind the toilet base, under the fridge, on top of the cupboards.

This is a one-off booking, not a schedule. Most people book it once, then move onto a fortnightly service to hold the result.

Leaving a rental and facing an exit inspection? Different scope, different checklist. Book an end of lease clean.

For routine upkeep afterwards, see house cleaning.

When is a deep clean worth paying for?

Three moments account for almost every booking we take.

Moving into a home

You never know how the last household lived. Reset it before the furniture goes in.

A seasonal reset

Once or twice a year. Pets and humid climates push it to the shorter end.

Before guests or a sale

Photographs and inspections pick up what a weekly visit leaves behind.

What sits on a deep cleaning checklist?

Agreed in writing before the day, so nothing is left to interpretation.

Kitchen

  • Inside the oven, racks and trays
  • Rangehood filters degreased
  • Inside and on top of cupboards
  • Behind and under the fridge
  • Splashback grout scrubbed

Bathrooms

  • Grout scrubbed line by line
  • Shower screens descaled
  • Behind and under the toilet base
  • Exhaust fan covers washed
  • Silicone joints treated

Bedrooms and living

  • Skirtings and door frames washed
  • Light fittings and switch plates
  • Behind and under furniture
  • Window tracks and reveals
  • Wardrobe interiors

What a weekly visit never reaches

  • Cornices and ceiling corners
  • Tops of doors and architraves
  • Ceiling fan housings
  • Vent grilles where accessible
  • Wall spot cleaning

Carpet, upholstery and mattress steam cleaning use separate equipment. Add them to the same day if you want them done together.

How does a deep clean run from start to finish?

Longer than a regular visit, and planned differently.

Why does spring cleaning fall in a different month across Australia?

Spring cleaning came from cold climates with long, closed-up winters. Half of Australia does not have one.

  • Melbourne and Tasmania. Months of heating against cold glass. September to November is the real window
  • Sydney, Perth and Adelaide. Mild winters, so salt, sand and dust build-up drives the booking, not the calendar
  • Brisbane. A reset before summer beats one after winter in this climate
  • Darwin. There is no spring. The two useful windows are after the wet in April, or before the build-up in October

Book the month that suits your climate, not the one the calendar suggests.

What separates our deep cleaning in Australia from a cheap reset?

Four things decide whether a deep clean was worth what you paid.

Deep cleaning in Australia with a written checklist

A Darwin louvre home and a Hobart brick cottage need different work. So a price with no scope attached tells you nothing.

We agree the checklist room by room before the day, then quote against it. You can compare us to anyone else line by line. If a company will not send you a checklist first, you are buying a promise instead of a scope.

Enough hours to reset an Australian home properly

A thorough three bedroom reset takes four to six hours. A humid Brisbane kitchen or a home that has not been done in years can take longer again.

Anything sold as a two hour deep clean is a regular visit under another name. We size the crew to the scope and confirm the hours before you book, so you know what you are paying for.

Spring cleaning in Australia timed to your climate

September works in Hobart after months of heating against cold glass. It means nothing in Darwin. There the reset belongs after the wet in April, or before the build-up in October.

Perth and Sydney book when salt and sand have built up, not when the calendar says spring. We book the month that suits your region rather than the one the calendar suggests. A reset done at the wrong time gets undone within weeks.

A photo report on every deep clean in Australia

Deep work happens where you will never look. Inside the oven, behind the fridge, on top of the cupboards.

If you own the property from another state, you cannot check it yourself. So every reset ends with before and after shots of each area on the checklist, and our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work.

A deep clean you cannot verify is just an expensive regular clean. The checklist and the report decide which one you bought.

Why trust us with a full reset of your home?

A reset is a bigger job than a visit. Here is what sits behind it.

Scope agreed in writing

Room by room, before anyone arrives.

Photo report

Before and after shots of every area.

Equipment supplied

Including gear a regular visit never needs.

Crew sized to the job

What do deep cleaning customers tell us?

What does a deep clean or spring clean cost in Australia?

Two scopes, two rate cards. A spring clean is the lighter of the two.

Which scope do you need? A spring clean refreshes a home that has been maintained. A deep clean suits one that has not had a full reset in a year or more.

Describe the condition honestly when you enquire. That is the difference between the right scope and a disappointing day.

What do people ask about deep and spring cleaning?

What is the difference between a deep clean and a regular house clean?

A regular clean maintains a home on a schedule. A deep clean resets it, so we move appliances, strip the oven, scrub grout line by line and wash skirtings, frames and tracks. If your home is already in good shape, the regular service is the better buy.

How long does a deep clean take?

Longer than most people expect. A thorough three bedroom reset takes four to six hours, so anything sold as a two hour deep clean is a regular visit under another name. We confirm the hours with your written scope before the day.

How often should I book a deep clean?

Every three to six months suits most homes. Pets or a humid climate push it to the shorter end. Many people book one reset, then move to a fortnightly service to hold it.

Is a spring clean the same thing as a deep clean?

Similar work, lighter scope, different trigger. A spring clean refreshes a home that has been maintained, while a deep clean suits one that has not had a full reset in a year or more. The right month depends on your climate, which is covered further up this page.

Do you clean inside the oven, fridge and cupboards?

The oven interior, racks and trays, rangehood filters and the inside of cupboards are all on the deep clean checklist. The fridge is pulled out and cleaned behind and underneath. If you want the inside of the fridge done as well, tell us when you book and we add it to your written scope.

What does a deep clean not cover?

It is a cleaning service, not a repair one. Worn carpet, etched stone and heat-damaged oven enamel are surface changes rather than dirt. Work at height and anything needing specialist gear sit outside the standard scope, and mould that has gone into the plaster is a remediation job, quoted separately through mould cleaning.

What should you book after the reset?

Most customers book more than one. Same crews, same standards, one invoice.
