Why are your tiles clean but the grout is not?
Your tiles are probably fine. It is the grout between them that is holding everything.
Glazed tile is sealed, so dirt sits on top. Grout is cement and porous, so it drinks in every bucket of mop water and keeps what was in it.
Adelaide's hard water makes this worse. Dissolved minerals dry inside the grout line and lock the grey in, which is why mopping stopped working a while ago.
We clean, we do not regrout. Crumbling or stained-through mortar needs a tiler. Mould behind silicone belongs with mould cleaning, outdoor paving with pressure washing, and a whole-home reset with deep cleaning.

Why does Adelaide grout go dark so quickly?
Adelaide's mains water carries a lot of dissolved calcium and magnesium, and the seasons add their own dirt.

Is the grout dirty, or is it damaged?
Wet a dark section with tap water and watch it. If it lightens while wet and darkens again as it dries, that is trapped dirt and cleaning will lift it.
If it stays dark when wet, the mortar itself has changed and you need recolouring or regrouting instead. We run this check before quoting, so you do not pay for the wrong job.
What goes on my floor, and is it safe for stone?
Glazed ceramic and porcelain handle a strong clean. Marble, limestone and travertine do not, because acidic products etch them and take the polish with them.
High pressure can also force water past indoor grout joints into the wall. Tell us the material when you book, not after we arrive.
Does sealing the grout actually help?
It buys you time. A penetrating sealer slows absorption so you can wipe up wine or oil before it sets.
It does not make grout stain-proof, it seals dirt in if the floor was not cleaned first, and it wears off and needs redoing.
Why per square metre instead of per hour?
Scrubbing grout is slow work, and on an hourly rate a badly soiled floor turns into an open bill. Ours is $30 per square metre, with a bathroom floor from $195 and a kitchen from $230.

Can you remove mould from shower grout?
Surface marks and soap film lift with the standard clean. Mould growing behind silicone seals is a job for our mould cleaning service.
Is grout sealing the same as grout cleaning?
No. Cleaning removes embedded dirt and old residue, and sealing is a separate step on clean, dry grout that slows down absorption. We quote sealing separately after we have seen the floor.
