Curtain Cleaning in Perth

Sheers, blockouts, linens and lined drapes across the Perth metro area, cleaned on site by a method chosen from the fabric. Published WA rates start at $60 a set.

Curtain fabric can move a little after cleaning, and fabric makers allow for it. So we measure the drop before and after, and tell you which way yours is likely to go before you commit.

Will your curtains shrink?

They can, a little. Fabric makers commonly allow a few per cent for movement after curtains are hung, and cleaning can bring it on.

On a long drop, even a small percentage is the difference between a curtain that touches the floor and one that hangs above the skirting.

Fibre matters. Polyester barely moves, while pure linen moves the most because it takes up and releases moisture far more readily than synthetic yarn.

So we will not promise your curtains will not move. We tell you which way yours are likely to go before you commit, and you decide whether to clean them, leave them or replace them.

Why do sheers and blockouts need different treatment?

Because they fail in different ways, and most Perth homes have both hanging on the same window.

A blockout has a coating on the back, usually acrylic foam or a rubbery layer. Many coated fabrics are labelled not to be washed, because water and agitation can crack or peel the coating.

A sheer is light and open, and some are labelled not to be dry cleaned. Put the two together and one window can need two methods, which is why we price each set on each track rather than counting windows.

What is included in a curtain clean?

Scoped by what is actually on your track, not by a flat rate per window.

Every booking

On site

Around the window

  • Pelmets wiped down

Where we stop

  • Fire retardant testing or treatment
  • Track, cord and blind fixes
  • Reversing sun damage
  • Dry-clean-only fabrics

How does a booking run?

Four steps, and the first one takes thirty seconds at your window.

Contact us
  1. Step 01

    Find the label

Cleaning instructions are usually sewn into the end pleat at the top of one curtain. Photograph it and send it with your enquiry.

  2. Step 02

    Measure the drop

We record it before we touch anything. If the fabric moves, you have a number rather than an argument.

  3. Step 03

    Match the method

Per set rather than per window. A lined blockout and the sheer in front of it may well need different treatment, and we explain why first.

  4. Step 04

    Check and remeasure

Measured again once dry, and you are told what moved. Our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work.

Which curtains are better left to a dry cleaner?

Velvet, silk, wool and foam-backed fabric often carry a dry clean only label, and we follow it.

We clean on site, with the curtains hanging. It suits hardy lined fabric that is more grubby than damaged, and there is no rehanging risk.

When the label says dry clean only, we tell you so at the quote rather than taking the job. Ultrasonic cleaning, which you may see advertised, is a tank process for hard blinds, not a fabric curtain method.

What will we not do?

Four boundaries, stated before you book.

Promise no shrinkage

Fabric makers publish a movement allowance, so no one can honestly promise zero. We measure before and after instead.

Touch fire retardancy

Curtains in halls, clubs and other public buildings may carry a fire retardant treatment that washing or dry cleaning can weaken. We do not test or apply those treatments, so check with your supplier or building inspector before booking.

Fix tracks, cords or blinds

A sticking runner, a snapped cord or a bent venetian is a different trade. We clean the fabric, and that is where it ends.

Make a health claim

We clean curtains. We do not promise anything about allergies or air quality.

Why do Perth curtains age the way they do?

Because a curtain is the one furnishing whose job is standing in front of the sun.

Sunlight fades the dye, and separately it weakens the fibre until the fabric turns brittle. Neither is reversible: cleaning a faded curtain gets you a clean faded curtain, and a weakened one can tear during a clean. We tell you when we think that is a risk.

Winter brings the other problem. Condensation running down the glass can watermark the hem, and those marks do not always come out.

Why book your curtain clean with us?

Six reasons, one line each.

We measure the drop

Before and after, so if the fabric moves there is a number rather than a disagreement.

We read the label first

It is the only instruction written for your curtains.

Per set, not per window

A blockout and the sheer in front of it are two different jobs on one window.

No promises we cannot keep

No shrinkage promise, no sun damage reversal, no health claims.

Straight about dry clean only

If the label rules us out, you hear it at the quote.

What do Perth customers say about us?

What does curtain cleaning cost in Perth?

Priced per set, at published WA rates including GST. Count the sets on your tracks and you can work it out before you call.

Curtain set WA rate
Small curtain set $60
Medium curtain set $85
Large curtain set $115
Blockout or heavy lined set From $145

Why does blockout cost more? The coated lining needs a low moisture method and slower work, not the same pass at a higher price. Dry clean only fabrics are not on this list, and we say so at the quote.

Send a photo of each window, the label if you can find it, and rough drop heights. We confirm the size of each set and the method before we book.

Where in Perth do we clean curtains?

The Perth metro area, from Joondalup to Rockingham, and Mandurah. Not on the list? Send your suburb and you will hear back the same day.

Coastal and western

  • Scarborough
  • Cottesloe
  • Fremantle
  • City Beach
  • North Beach
  • Hillarys
  • Sorrento
  • Trigg

Coastal salt air and beach sand impact properties heavily here. Window tracks, exterior glass, and flyscreens need regular washing to stop salt corrosion.

Central and northern

  • Perth CBD
  • Northbridge
  • Subiaco
  • Leederville
  • South Perth
  • Joondalup
  • Morley
  • Midland

A mix of commercial high rises, character homes, and modern units. Jarrah floor care and delicate limestone work are common across these areas.

Southern corridor

  • Wellard
  • Rockingham
  • Baldivis
  • Cockburn
  • Canning Vale
  • Armadale
  • Kwinana
  • Mandurah

Large family properties and industrial facilities. Paved alfresco spaces and bore reticulation mean pressure washing is regularly booked alongside a house clean.

What do people ask before booking a curtain clean?

Will my curtains shrink?

They might, a little, and fabric makers allow for it. Polyester barely moves and linen moves the most. We measure before and after so you have a number either way.

Where do I find the care label?

Usually sewn into the end pleat at the top of one curtain. Photograph it and send it with your enquiry, because it is the only instruction that counts.

Can you clean blockout curtains?

It depends on the coating. Many coated blockouts are labelled not to be washed, so we identify the backing before committing to anything wet.

Can you clean sheers the same way?

Not always. Sheers and blockouts can carry opposite instructions, so a window with both may need two methods. We price each set separately for that reason.

Our curtains are in a hall or club. Anything different?

Yes. Curtains in public buildings may carry a fire retardant treatment that cleaning can weaken. We do not test or apply those treatments, so speak to your supplier or inspector first.

How much does curtain cleaning cost in Perth?

A small set is $60, a medium set $85 and a large set $115, including GST. Blockout and heavy lined sets start at $145, because the coated lining needs slower, low moisture work.

Can you fix faded curtains?

No, and no one can. Sun fading is lost dye and weakened fibre, so cleaning a faded curtain gives you a clean faded curtain.

What are the marks along the bottom of my curtains?

Often condensation. Water running off cold glass in winter can watermark the hem, and those marks do not always lift.

We stay until it's right

Our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work. For end of lease cleans, if you're not satisfied and tell us within 72 hours, we come back and re-clean.

Ready to get your curtains looked at?

Send your suburb, a photo of each window, rough drop heights, and the care label if you can find it in the end pleat. You will get a price per set, a method per fabric, and a straight note on anything we would leave alone.
