Daily
Busy, high throughput practices. Waiting rooms, amenities and hand hygiene stations cannot carry a day off in winter.
Your accreditation survey will ask how the practice is cleaned. The RACGP standards expect a documented cleaning schedule and evidence that it is followed.
We work to a written room by room schedule with colour coded equipment, early in the morning before your first patient or in the evening after the last, between 6am and 10pm. Every visit is signed off in a log that stays at your practice.
Scheduled cleaning of waiting rooms, consulting rooms, treatment areas and amenities, written as a room by room schedule rather than a task list.
The RACGP infection prevention and control standards call for a documented environmental cleaning schedule. Your cleaning contract is part of how you meet that.
Clinical and non-clinical zones are not the same job. A waiting room and a treatment room need different products, different equipment and different frequencies.
We cover general practice, specialist rooms, dental and allied health. For non-clinical tenancies see office cleaning in Melbourne, and for disability housing see NDIS facility cleaning.
Set against patient numbers rather than floor area.
Busy, high throughput practices. Waiting rooms, amenities and hand hygiene stations cannot carry a day off in winter.
Smaller practices and specialist rooms. A midweek maintenance visit and a heavier end of week clean.
Treatment beds, skirtings, glass and hard floor care, scheduled across the year rather than requested.
Cold and flu season changes the load rather than the scope. Waiting room frequency can lift through winter and settle again afterwards.
Surveyors look for a record trail. This is what we leave behind.

Which surfaces, how often and with what, set out room by room before the first visit.
Step 02
Colour coded equipment per area and a two step clean in clinical rooms, with the product's contact time respected.
Step 03
Each visit is signed off in the log, so the record exists before anyone asks for it.
Step 04
The log lives at the practice, where your practice manager can reach it.
Four areas, four sets of equipment, no crossover between them.
Sharps, clinical waste and anything inside a steriliser stay with your clinical team. Our cleaners clean around them and never handle them, and that is written into the scope.
Set up before the first clean and kept current.
The RACGP standards do not name a product or a technique. They ask you to show a system: zoning, suitable products, a defined process and a record that it happened.
The load on a Melbourne waiting room is seasonal, and the buildings are a mixed bag.
Accreditation is not seasonal. The record has to be consistent across the whole cycle.
Four things worth asking any cleaning contractor.
Surveyors want a documented schedule and evidence it happened, visit after visit. Ask your current contractor for both. If neither exists, you have nothing to hand an assessor on the day of the survey.
A cloth that wipes a toilet and then a consulting desk undoes the clean. Colour coded cloths, mops and buckets assigned per zone, and never crossed between them, are the simplest control there is.
A disinfectant has to stay wet on the surface for the time on its label. Wiped on and straight off, it has not done its job, so ask how contact time is handled on clinical surfaces.
Cleaners should never handle sharps containers, clinical waste or anything inside a steriliser. That sits with your clinical team, and we write the line into the scope before anyone starts.
Your cleaning contract is part of your accreditation evidence.
Four steps, usually inside a week. No obligation at any point.
Room count, patient numbers, treatment areas and where the clean zones start and stop.
Room by room tasks with frequencies, products by zone, and a fixed price against it.
Keys, alarm and your zoning rules, with the colour coding, SDS folder and log book set up on site.
Signed off each visit, with the schedule reviewed every six months.
Clinics are quoted after a walkthrough, not from a rate card. Room count and patient numbers drive the hours far more than floor area does.
Scheduled into the contract and recorded in the log when done.

General practice, specialist rooms, dental and allied health across metropolitan Melbourne. Running several sites? Request a walkthrough and we will scope them together.
Victorian and Edwardian terraces, weatherboards, and converted warehouses where winter condensation and older timber floors shape the work.
High-rise apartment towers alongside heritage family homes where building access windows and owners corporation rules decide the schedule.
Family homes on large blocks where ducted heating registers, large floor plans, and outdoor paving are regularly booked together.
We work to a written environmental cleaning schedule of the kind the RACGP standards call for: room by room tasks, frequencies, products by zone and a signed record each visit. The standards ask you to show a system, and the schedule is how you show it.
Evidence of a system rather than a spotless floor on the day. That means zoning, the products used, a defined process and a record that it happens consistently, all of which stay at the practice.
A disinfectant suited to clinical surfaces, left on for the contact time on its label. Safety Data Sheets for every product are kept in the folder on site.
No, and it is written into the scope. Sharps containers, clinical waste and anything inside a steriliser stay with your clinical team.
No. We do not photograph inside clinics. Each visit is recorded in the signed log instead, and anything that needs attention is reported to your practice manager in writing.
Yes, seven days from 6am to 10pm, so before your first appointment or after your last. We set the window at the walkthrough around your roster.
We quote after a walkthrough, because room count and patient numbers set the hours. You get a written schedule and a fixed price before we start.
Daily for busy practices, and twice weekly for smaller rooms. Waiting rooms, amenities and hand hygiene stations carry the most contact and usually set the frequency.
We stay until it's right
