Upholstery Cleaning in Brisbane

Upholstery Cleaning Services in Brisbane

Anyone can wash a couch. Upholstery cleaning in Brisbane is about the drying, because a lounge left damp in humid weather can come back smelling worse than before.

So we pull far more water back out than we put in, then run air movers over the cushions before we pack up. A three seater is $195 including GST and a dining chair is $35, and nothing is charged by the hour.

What does couch cleaning involve?

Hot water extraction on fabric lounges, dining chairs, ottomans and modulars. Dry soil comes out first, then the wash, then the drying.

That last step is the one that matters here. We extract until the cushion is barely damp and run airflow over it before we pack up.

Leather is a different job. That one is leather cleaning in Brisbane.

Mattresses use a similar machine but a different method. See mattress cleaning in Brisbane for those.

What is your lounge made of?

We check before anything goes on it, because getting this wrong is permanent.

Synthetic and microfibre

Most lounges. Takes hot water extraction well and dries fastest.

Natural fibre blends

Cotton and linen covers hold water longer and can shrink, so the wash goes on lighter and the airflow runs harder.

Solvent clean only

Some fabrics carry an S code and should not be wet cleaned. We read the tag first and tell you if that is what you have.

Most lounges have a cleaning code sewn under a cushion or on the frame. It takes a minute to find and it decides the whole method.

What does upholstery cleaning cover on every piece?

Four stages, and the last one is where Brisbane jobs go wrong.

Check and test

  • Cleaning code located
  • Fibre identified
  • Colourfast test out of sight
  • Existing damage photographed
  • Realistic result explained

Dry soil first

  • Full vacuum before water
  • Under and behind cushions
  • Crevices and piping
  • Pet hair lifted
  • Grit out, not wetted in

Treat and extract

  • Hot water extraction
  • Arms and headrests pre-treated
  • Spots worked by type
  • Rinsed until it runs clear
  • Deodorised through the foam

Dried before we go

  • Extracted to barely damp
  • Air movers on the cushions
  • Foam checked, not just cover
  • Fans and air con turned on
  • Real sit-on time given

The cover dries quickly. The foam underneath takes far longer, and in humid weather that is where a musty smell starts.

How does an upholstery clean run?

Two to three hours for a lounge suite, and you can usually sit on it that evening.

Contact us
  1. Step 01

    Send a photo

The lounge and the cleaning tag if you can find it. That is usually enough to price it.

  2. Step 02

    Tested before treated

Colourfastness checked somewhere nobody looks. If it moves, we change the method.

  3. Step 03

    Cleaned, then dried

Air movers go on while we work rather than as we walk out the door.

  4. Step 04

A real time, not a guess

We tell you when to sit on it and photograph the piece before we go.

Why is a wet couch a problem in Brisbane?

Humid air cannot take much more water out of anything, so a soaked lounge stays soaked.

That is how a clean couch ends up smelling musty a few days later: the cover dried, the foam never did.

  • Strong sun fades fabric. A lounge near a west facing window loses colour, and no clean reverses that
  • Air conditioning keeps the house shut. The lounge holds whatever the room smells like
  • Sunscreen and insect repellent. Both transfer onto arms and headrests

Drying is not the last step of the job in Brisbane. It is most of it.

Why can a couch smell musty after a clean?

Four things worth knowing before you book.

It was left too wet

The cover feels dry within the hour while the foam underneath holds moisture for days. We extract until the foam is barely damp, then run airflow over it before we leave.

The tag decides the method

W means water based cleaning is fine. S means solvent only, and the wrong method can shrink the cover or leave a ring, so we look before anything goes near the fabric.

Sun fade is not dirt

A lounge that has sat in strong sun loses colour, and the fibre weakens with it. Cleaning lifts soil; it does not restore colour, and we say so before you pay.

Priced per piece

A dining chair is $35 and a three seater is $195. Send a photo of the lounge and the tag and you get a fixed number back.

What do Brisbane customers ask about couch cleaning?

What will it cost to clean my lounge suite?

A dining chair is $35 including GST, a three seater $195 and a four seater $260, and modulars start at $339. A suite is simply the pieces added together.

How long until I can sit on it?

Usually the same evening. We extract until the foam is barely damp and run air movers before we leave, then give you a real time.

Why did my couch smell worse after the last clean?

Most likely it was left wet. In humid weather the foam can hold water for days after the cover feels dry, and that is where the smell starts.

Do you clean leather lounges?

Yes, as a separate service with different products and its own prices. See the leather cleaning page.

What is the cleaning code on my lounge?

A small tag under a cushion or on the frame. W means water based cleaning is fine, S means solvent only, and we look for it before anything touches the fabric.

Will the faded side come back?

No. Sun fade is lost dye, not dirt, and cleaning does not restore it. We tell you that before you pay rather than after.

Can you get pet smell out?

Often, because we deodorise through the foam rather than spraying the surface. If it has soaked into the frame we will say so honestly.

Is it cheaper to book the whole suite at once?

Each piece has its own price, but booking them together means one visit instead of two. Everything in the room is done while we are there.

What other cleaning do we do in Brisbane?

Most customers book more than one. Same crews, same standards, one invoice.
