Leather Cleaning in Brisbane

Leather Cleaning & Conditioning Services in Brisbane

Leather cleaning in Brisbane is not only about dirt. Many lounges here suffer because they dry out: air conditioning runs for months, and sunscreen and body oil soak into the head rests.

So every job is a clean and a conditioning, not one without the other. We test the finish first and we never steam leather. A three seater is $250 including GST, with a photo report when we finish.

  • Finish tested before anything is cleaned
  • Conditioned, not just wiped over
  • No steam and no silicone gloss

What does our leather cleaning service in Brisbane include?

Leather lounges, recliners, dining chairs, ottomans, bed heads and office chairs. Pigmented, aniline and semi aniline hides.

Every job starts the same way. We work out what finish is on the hide and test it on a panel nobody sees, because a cleaner that is fine on a protected lounge can strip an aniline one.

Conditioning is in the price. Cleaning alone takes oils out of a hide that is already drying in an air conditioned room, so every job gets fed afterwards.

Fabric lounges are a different job and a different price. See upholstery cleaning in Brisbane.

How often should leather be cleaned and conditioned?

How much sun and air conditioning the room gets decides this, not how old the lounge is.

Every six months

The lounge everyone actually sits on, especially with pets or kids. It keeps the head rests from going dark and sticky.

Once a year

Formal rooms and dining chairs used on weekends. A hide dries out whether anyone sits on it or not.

When it feels dry

Stiff to the touch, dull in the light, or fine lines at the seams. Book it then, before the lines turn into cracks.

Offices, waiting rooms and restaurant booths are quoted per piece and done before opening or in the evening.

What is included in every leather clean?

Four stages. The first one is what stops a lounge being ruined.

Identify and test

  • Finish type worked out first
  • Tested on a hidden panel
  • Coated or faux leather flagged
  • Existing wear photographed
  • You hear what will not shift

Clean

  • pH balanced leather cleaner
  • Seams and piping by hand
  • Head and arm rests worked twice
  • No steam, no soaking
  • Soil lifted off, not rubbed in

Condition

  • Conditioner matched to the finish
  • Worked in panel by panel
  • Left to absorb, then buffed
  • No silicone and no wax shine
  • Stitching left clean

Finish and report

  • Frame and legs wiped down
  • Before and after photos
  • Sit-on time explained
  • Aftercare for this hide
  • Checked with you before we go

Ask any leather cleaner whether conditioning is in the quote. A clean on its own leaves the hide drier than it was when the crew arrived.

How is the job run?

We work in your lounge room, so nothing leaves the house.

Contact us
  1. Step 01

Send a photo and count the seats

Seats, recliners, chairs and ottomans. A photo tells us the finish, and that is enough to price it.

  2. Step 02

    Arrival time confirmed

We confirm when the crew will arrive before the day.

  3. Step 03

    Test, clean, then condition

The test panel comes first. Cleaning and conditioning happen in the one visit, panel by panel.

  4. Step 04

    Report and walk through

You get the before and after photos, and our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work.

Why does leather dry out faster in a Brisbane house?

Leather is a hide. It holds oils, and a Brisbane living room spends much of the year taking them back out.

  • Air conditioning runs for months, and cooled, recycled air pulls moisture out of the hide
  • Sunscreen and body oil go into head rests and arms through summer, which is why those panels darken first
  • Sunny windows fade a lounge, and the faded side goes stiff before the shaded side does
  • Closed, humid rooms grow mildew on the seams and the underside of cushions, especially in a rarely used room

So conditioning is not an upsell here. It is the half of the job that decides whether the lounge stays soft.

What sets our leather cleaning apart?

Four things you get on every job.

We test before we touch it

An aniline hide and a protected one look the same across a room and behave nothing alike once a cleaner goes on.

Every job starts on a hidden panel, so if the colour lifts you hear about it there.

Conditioning comes with the clean

Ours is one job at one price: clean, then feed, then buff.

The lounge is left soft rather than squeaky.

We never steam leather

Heat and water open the finish, and the damage can show up weeks later as patchiness.

Leather gets a pH balanced solution and hand work.

Repair when cleaning is not enough

Cracks, scuffs and worn colour that cleaning cannot fix can be repaired, quoted after we have seen the piece.

Coated or faux leather that is peeling is the exception, and you hear that on the phone or on arrival, before you pay.

What do Brisbane lounge owners ask before booking?

How much does leather lounge cleaning in Brisbane cost?

Prices are per piece with conditioning included. A three seater is $250, a recliner $109 and a dining chair $45, including GST.

Can you steam clean a leather lounge?

No, and nobody should. Heat and moisture open the finish on the hide, so leather gets a pH balanced cleaner and hand work instead.

Will cleaning fix cracks or peeling?

Cleaning alone will not. Conditioning softens a dry hide and slows new cracking, but a crack that has split needs leather repair, which we offer and quote after we see it. Peeling usually means a coated or faux leather, which cannot be brought back.

How long before we can sit on it?

A few hours, once the conditioner has absorbed and been buffed. We tell you the time on the day.

Will the colour come off on my clothes?

Not from our work. The test panel exists to catch a hide that is already unstable, and if it lifts on the test you hear about it before we clean the rest.

My lounge has mildew on the seams. Can you clean that?

Yes, surface mildew on leather comes off as part of the clean, and the conditioning follows. If the room itself is affected, see mould cleaning in Brisbane.

How often should leather be conditioned?

Twice a year on a lounge in an air conditioned room, and yearly on one that gets light use. If the hide feels stiff or squeaks when you sit down, it is due now.

Do you do office and commercial leather?

Yes. Reception lounges, boardroom chairs and waiting room seating, quoted per piece and done before opening or in the evening.

We stay until it's right

Our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work. For end of lease cleans, if you're not satisfied and tell us within 72 hours, we come back and re-clean.
