What does tile and grout cleaning in Darwin involve?

Why does my grout go dark again a few weeks after I scrub it?
Because scrubbing cleans the surface of the grout and grout is porous. The staining sits below that surface, so it looks better for a fortnight and then reappears. Extraction pulls it out of the pore instead of off the top.
What is the best way to clean tile grout at home?
Nothing off a shelf matches a machine, and some of it makes things worse. Bleach lightens the stain without removing it, and acidic cleaners eat into the grout itself. If scrubbing still works for you, keep going.
Can you get grout back to its original colour?
Usually close, sometimes not all the way. Grout that has been bleached, damaged by an acidic cleaner or stained for years may have changed permanently. We tell you what we expect to achieve before we start, not after you have paid.
Will a steam mop do the same job?
No. A steam mop softens what is on the surface and then spreads it around the floor with the pad. There is no vacuum recovery, so the dirty water goes back into the grout line it just came out of.
Do you clean outdoor tiled areas like verandahs and pool surrounds?
Yes, and in Darwin they are usually worse than anything indoors. Outdoor tile collects dry season dust and grows a film through the wet. Large exposed areas are sometimes better suited to pressure washing, and we will tell you which one your surface needs.
