What does NDIS cleaning in Darwin cover?

Routine household cleaning in a participant's home, and cleaning for the places disability support happens: group homes, respite houses, day program centres and offices.

Most bookings are a regular visit at set hours. Larger jobs, such as a reset after the wet or a move into a new home, are quoted per job so they do not quietly use up routine hours.

Ask your plan manager or support coordinator what your plan funds before you book. We are happy to talk it through with them directly.

What is in a visit?

Agreed with you before the first booking and written into the service agreement, so the hours are never a surprise.

Living areas and bedrooms

  • Floors vacuumed and mopped
  • Surfaces and touch points wiped
  • Bed linen changed if you want it
  • Clear paths kept for equipment

Bathroom and kitchen

  • Shower, basin, toilet and floor
  • Grab rails, shower chair, hoist track
  • Benches, sink and appliance fronts
  • Bins emptied and washed out

Seasonal work

  • Wet area surface mould checked each visit
  • Air conditioner grilles wiped
  • Entry mats and tracked in mud
  • Window tracks and flyscreens

Booked as its own job

  • End of lease and move in cleans
  • Mould cleaning beyond a routine wipe
  • Carpet and upholstery steam cleaning
  • Deep cleans before or after the wet

Those last four are listed separately because they are quoted per job rather than per hour. Lumping them into a routine visit is how hours get used up without anyone noticing.

How does a booking run?

Four steps, and nothing starts until the agreement is signed.

Contact us
  1. Step 01

    A visit first

We walk through with you, or with your support coordinator if you would rather. We work out the hours the scope actually needs instead of guessing.

  2. Step 02

    A written service agreement

Scope, hours, rate and cancellation terms, all in writing before anyone books a visit.

  3. Step 03

    Visits at times that suit

Booked between 6am and 10pm, around support worker shifts, appointments and program runs.

  4. Step 04

An invoice that is easy to check

Your legal name, NDIS number, each date, the hours and the rate, each on its own line.

Why does mould matter more in a participant's home?

Because many of the people this service exists for are the ones mould affects most.

Health authorities advise that older people, young children and people with weakened immune systems or lung conditions take more care around mould. Darwin's humidity from November to April gives it everything it needs.

Method matters. Dry brushing puts spores back into the air, so we clean wet areas with damp cloths, then dry them with doors and windows open and fans running. We never mix bleach with ammonia based products.

Where growth has spread beyond a wet area wipe down, we quote it as its own mould clean rather than quietly using routine hours.

What should a support coordinator ask before shortlisting a cleaner?

A few quick questions, and we are happy to answer every one of them in writing before you book.

  • Which plan types the provider can take, said plainly in writing
  • Whether the scope, hours, rate and cancellation terms go into a written service agreement
  • What worker checks the people coming into the home hold, and whether that is confirmed in writing
  • What an invoice looks like, and whether it lists each date, the hours and the rate
  • Who to call when a visit needs to move

Tell us how the plan is managed when you first call and we will confirm in writing what we can be engaged for, before anyone books a visit.

What do Darwin customers say about us?

What goes on the invoice?

The fields a plan manager checks. Get one wrong and the claim comes back, which is why we build every invoice to the same list.

The fields

Our name and ABN, a unique invoice number, the invoice date, the participant's full legal name, their NDIS number, each service date listed separately, hours per date, the hourly rate and the total. Not a month range, not a flat fee.

Travel and cancellations

Any travel charge and our cancellation terms are written into the service agreement before you sign. Nothing appears on an invoice that the agreement does not already cover.

No extras

We do not add a gap fee or a separate charge for cleaning products. Both sit inside the hourly price already.

How is an NDIS or facility cleaning quote put together?

No rate card. We visit, agree the scope and hours with you, and quote after that inspection.

We visit the home or site

Rooms, wet areas, equipment, access and anyone who needs a quiet visit.

We agree the scope

Task by task, with you or your coordinator.

Hours set the price

Routine visits by the hour, bigger jobs quoted per job.

Fixed in writing

Everything goes into the service agreement before the first visit.

The first visit is free and carries no obligation.

Which Darwin areas do we cover?

Darwin, Palmerston and the surrounding suburbs. Somewhere further out? Send us the address and we will confirm.

City and coastal

  • Darwin CBD
  • Larrakeyah
  • Stuart Park
  • The Gardens
  • Fannie Bay
  • Parap
  • Cullen Bay
  • Nightcliff

Coastal salt air coats glass and louvre blades, requiring extra care on tracks.

Northern suburbs

  • Casuarina
  • Alawa
  • Wagaman
  • Leanyer
  • Karama
  • Malak
  • Marrara
  • Wanguri

High residential rental movement makes bond cleaning very common across these suburbs.

Palmerston and rural

  • Palmerston
  • Berrimah
  • Winnellie
  • Howard Springs
  • Humpty Doo

Larger family blocks and sheds often combine regular cleans with outdoor pressure washing.

What do participants and coordinators ask us first?

Can my NDIS plan pay for cleaning?

Household cleaning can be funded where your plan includes it. Your plan manager or support coordinator can tell you what your plan covers, and we are happy to speak with them before you book.

How much does NDIS cleaning cost in Darwin?

We quote after a first visit, because the hours depend on the home and what you need done. The rate and hours go into the service agreement before anything is booked.

Does the NDIS pay for a deep clean, carpet cleaning or windows?

That depends on your plan, so check with your plan manager first. We quote these as their own jobs so they are easy to see on the invoice.

Do you clean group homes and respite houses?

Yes, usually as a booking with the provider that runs the house. Turnovers, common areas and regular visits can be rostered together with one point of contact.

What does my plan manager need on the invoice?

Your full legal name as it appears on your plan, your NDIS number, each service date on its own line with hours and rate, and the total. A common reason for a bounced invoice is one made out to a parent or a nominee instead of the participant.

What if something is missed?

Tell us before the cleaner leaves or call us afterwards. Our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work.

We stay until it's right

Our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work. For end of lease cleans, if you're not satisfied and tell us within 72 hours, we come back and re-clean.

Ready to book a visit in Darwin?

Tell us the suburb, how the plan is managed and roughly what the home or site needs. We come and look, quote the hours honestly, and put the scope and the rate in a service agreement before anything is booked.
