Before the gates
- Site swept and checked
- Bin stations placed and signed
- Pre-event photos taken
- Access and bump in kept clear
Markets, festivals, weddings, corporate functions and community days across the Perth metro area, cleaned to the conditions on your permit or hire agreement.
Leave a council site dirty and the council can clean it and bill you. We work from 6am to 10pm, so we clean through the event, clear what we can after bump out, and come back from 6am the next morning for anything that finishes late.
More than most organisers expect, and it differs from one venue to the next.
Most event permits ask for waste to be managed during the event and removed straight after it, with enough bins for the crowd and the catering. If the site is left untidy, many councils clean it themselves and pass the cost to the hirer, often out of the bond.
Some venues also set a time the site must be vacated, which matters if your event runs late. We plan the after-event clean around that time and our 10pm finish, with a next-morning return where the venue allows it.
To be clear about our part: we clean to your conditions. The permit, the insurance and the waste plan stay with you as the organiser.
It depends on the crowd, the catering and the venue, and many councils publish their own ratio.
Food and drink drive waste far more than headcount. A crowd that eats on site needs many more bins, emptied more often, than the same crowd at a concert with no catering.
Spacing matters too: bins people can see from where they are standing get used. Send us the attendee number, the catering and the venue, and we will work out a bin count with you before you write the waste plan.
Scoped against your permit conditions, not a flat rate.
Step 01
Your permit or hire agreement tells us what the site manager will check. Councils, Kings Park and Elizabeth Quay each set their own rules, so we read yours.
Step 02
Attendees, catering and venue give us a number. You get it in writing early enough to go in your waste plan.
Step 03
Through the event, not just after it, between 6am and 10pm. An event that runs past 10pm gets its final clean the next morning from 6am, where the venue allows.
Step 04
Photographed before and after. If a bond is held, you have the evidence, and if the council inspects, you are not relying on memory.
Often not. Many Perth councils do not accept compostable cups, cutlery or packaging in their food and garden organics bins, because those items do not break down in time.
So budget for compostable serveware as general waste unless your venue's waste contractor confirms otherwise. That way you do not promise sponsors a composting outcome the system cannot deliver.
Four things that get events fined or bonds withheld.
Releasing helium balloons is against the law in WA, not just a venue rule. Balloons as decorations are fine, so long as none are let go.
Many Perth parks and venues ban confetti of every kind, including petals, rice and seeds. If your photographer suggests it, check the venue first.
Some venues do not allow glass for drinks service. It is a venue condition rather than a law, which is why reading your own agreement beats copying another event.
Venues treat it as littering. It is also the most common thing we get called back for, and it is a bin servicing problem rather than a crowd problem.
Perth's main event spaces are run by different bodies, and their rules do not match.
City of Perth looks after several inner city parks and the foreshore. Kings Park is managed by the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority rather than a council, with its own list of prohibited items, and Elizabeth Quay has its own operator and guidelines.
So a permit at one venue tells you little about another. Book the venue first, read its conditions, then build the cleaning budget.
Six reasons, one line each.
Itemised against your event, in crew hours and bins.
How many cleaners, for how long, during the event and after bump out, plus any next-morning return.
An event on turf with no catering is a light job. The same crowd on paving with a row of food vendors is a different job entirely.
Some venues require paving under food vendors to be pressure cleaned afterwards. We quote it as its own line.
Send the venue, the date, the start and finish times, expected attendance and whether food is being served. You get crew hours and a bin count, itemised.
Before, after, or the venue itself.
Vendor rows and paving once the grease has set. Pressure washing
Function rooms after a big night. Carpet cleaning
Where the party was held at home rather than at a venue. Deep cleaning
For venues running functions as part of normal trade. Hospitality cleaning
Glass and frontage before a launch or an open day. Window cleaning
Where a complex hosts a resident function in shared space. Strata cleaning
The Perth metro area, from Joondalup to Rockingham, and Mandurah. Not on the list? Send your venue and you will hear back the same day.
Coastal salt air and beach sand impact properties heavily here. Window tracks, exterior glass, and flyscreens need regular washing to stop salt corrosion.
A mix of commercial high rises, character homes, and modern units. Jarrah floor care and delicate limestone work are common across these areas.
Large family properties and industrial facilities. Paved alfresco spaces and bore reticulation mean pressure washing is regularly booked alongside a house clean.
It depends on your council and your catering. Many councils publish a ratio of bins to people, higher where food and drink are served. Send us attendance and catering details and we will work it out with you.
The council or venue can clean it and bill you, and a bond, if one is held, is usually the first place it comes from.
Yes. We work until 10pm, so we clear what we can on the night and come back from 6am the next morning for the final clean, where the venue allows access. We confirm that plan with you and the venue when you book. For a post-event emergency that cannot wait until morning, call our 24-hour emergency line on 0483 982 111.
Larger events usually do, and the crowd size that triggers one differs by venue. Your permit conditions will say, and we can supply the bin count and cleaning plan that goes in it.
You can, but plan for them as general waste unless your venue's waste contractor confirms otherwise. Many Perth councils do not take compostable packaging in their organics bins.
No. Releasing helium balloons is against the law in WA. Balloons as decorations are fine, so long as none are let go.
Roughly spring through autumn, with plenty of outdoor markets and festivals in the warmer months. Book early for the busiest weekends.
We stay until it's right
Our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work. For end of lease cleans, if you're not satisfied and tell us within 72 hours, we come back and re-clean.
Send the venue, the date, start and finish times, expected attendance and whether food is being served. Attach your permit conditions if you have them, and you get crew hours, a bin count and a note on anything we cannot do for you.
