The once or twice a year reset. Inside appliances, behind furniture, up at the cornices and down in the window tracks, across the Perth metro area.
A spring clean refreshes a home that has been kept up, and a deep clean is the bigger reset for one that has fallen behind. No one has defined either, so we publish a price for each and a written scope of what you get.
No one, and that is worth knowing before you compare two quotes.
There is no Australian standard and no industry scope for a deep clean or a spring clean. Every checklist you find online was written by whoever is selling it.
So the name alone tells you little. We send a written scope listing the rooms and tasks, you take things off or add them, and that document is what you are buying.
The one useful distinction is why you are booking. A deep clean is usually for a home that has fallen behind, while a spring clean is a well kept home getting its annual once-over. The rooms are the same, but the deep clean takes longer on each, which is why it sits higher on the rate card.
Not necessarily. The custom came from the northern hemisphere, where spring is when a house shut up for winter gets opened again.
Read that with a Perth calendar in your hand. Here the home is shut up through the cool, wet months and opened when the weather turns, which points to autumn just as much as September.
None of which makes September a bad time. Perth simply has two sensible windows rather than one, and which suits you depends on what you want out of it.
You edit this list before we come.
Step 01
We send the standing scope. You cross off what you do not want and add what we missed.
Step 02
The rate card sets the price by bedroom count and scope. Anything you add outside the standing list goes on its own line before we book.
Step 03
High dusting first, floors last, one room finished before the next starts. You see progress rather than a whole house half done at three o'clock.
Step 04
The same document, ticked off in front of you. Our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work.
Two windows make sense here, and both are tied to the weather rather than a season name.
The first is autumn, before the winter rain. Flyscreens, window tracks and external glass are worth doing while it is still dry, and a home about to be shut up for the wet months is better closed clean than closed dusty.
The second is spring, before summer. Councils set their own fire hazard deadlines for vegetation, so it is a natural time to get the inside done while the yard is being cleared. Check your own council's date rather than assuming.
Spring is also when evaporative air conditioners get their pre-summer service. We clean the grilles and vents inside while the unit itself goes to a service technician.
Four jobs people expect in a spring clean that we will not quote for.
Clearing the roof line before winter is good advice, but it is height work with its own equipment. We will remind you and leave the climbing to a trade.
The pads, waterways and pump are a service technician's job. We clean the grilles and vents inside the house.
Council fire hazard notices cover vegetation, firebreaks and clearing. That is a landscaping job, and getting it wrong carries a council penalty rather than a dirty bench.
Reorganising cupboards and the garage is a real service, just a different one. We will clean inside a cupboard you have emptied, but we will not decide what you keep.
Less often than you might be told, and no Australian authority publishes a schedule for most of it.
Rangehood filters are the exception people notice: the more you fry, the sooner the mesh clogs. Ovens depend just as much on how you cook, and a pyrolytic oven needs far less hands-on cleaning than one without.
Ceiling fans, skirtings, window tracks, flyscreens, light fittings and exhaust fans have no official interval. Book it when the house tells you, or tie it to autumn or spring so it actually happens.
Six reasons, one line each.

Which scope do you need? A spring clean refreshes a home that has been maintained. A deep clean suits one that has not had a full reset in a year or more.
Send your suburb, the bedroom and bathroom count, and roughly how long since the last proper clean. A written scope and a fixed price come back the same day.
A deep clean is the natural moment for the jobs you only do once a year.
Floors last, after the high dusting, with a drying time quoted for the month. Carpet cleaning
Inside and out, with tracks and flyscreens rather than just the glass. Window cleaning
Priced per piece from $39, with the care code read before anything touches the fabric. Upholstery cleaning
Bathrooms and wet areas, with the method matched to the surface. Tile and grout
Paths, alfresco and paving, with the WA water rules checked first. Pressure washing
If the autumn clean turns up something in a wardrobe or a wet area. Mould cleaning
The Perth metro area, from Joondalup to Rockingham, and Mandurah. Not on the list? Send your suburb and you will hear back the same day.
Coastal salt air and beach sand impact properties heavily here. Window tracks, exterior glass, and flyscreens need regular washing to stop salt corrosion.
A mix of commercial high rises, character homes, and modern units. Jarrah floor care and delicate limestone work are common across these areas.
Large family properties and industrial facilities. Paved alfresco spaces and bore reticulation mean pressure washing is regularly booked alongside a house clean.
A spring clean refreshes a home that has been kept up, and a deep clean is the bigger reset for one that has not had a full clean in a year or more. No Australian standard defines either, so we send the written scope for whichever you book.
Spring cleans run from $285 for a studio to $675 for five bedrooms, and deep cleans from $310 to $725, including GST. A three bedroom home is $455 for a spring clean and $485 for a deep clean.
Condition decides it. A home that has gone a year or more without a full clean needs the deep clean, and booking the lighter spring clean for it is how a day ends in disappointment. Tell us honestly how long it has been and we will say which fits.
Autumn or spring, for different reasons. Autumn gets the house clean before it is shut up for winter, and spring lines up with fire season preparation and the pre-summer aircon service.
We clean the grilles and vents inside the house. The unit itself, pads and waterways included, is a job for an air conditioning service technician.
No, though the work can look similar. A vacate clean is judged by a property manager's inspection against the condition report. If you are moving out, book end of lease cleaning, because it is built for that test.
Most customers book more than one. Same crews, same standards, one invoice.
We stay until it's right
Our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work. For end of lease cleans, if you're not satisfied and tell us within 72 hours, we come back and re-clean.
Send your suburb, bedrooms and bathrooms, and roughly how long since the last proper clean. You will get the scope list to edit and a fixed price from the rate card.
