Water in the house? Call our 24-hour emergency line on 0483 982 111. We extract and dry for homes and businesses across the Perth metro area, whether it is a burst flexi-hose, a leaking pipe, a roof leak or a sewage overflow.
The sooner the water is out, the more of the carpet and underlay can be saved. We dry to a measured reading rather than a day count, and you get a photo report you can send your insurer.
Worth separating, because safety comes before drying.
If anyone is in danger, call Triple Zero (000). If your home is badly damaged in a storm and you cannot make it safe yourself, call the State Emergency Service on 132 500.
Power is the one that catches people. Do not switch on electrical or gas appliances that got wet until a licensed electrician or gas fitter has checked them.
It is also worth ringing your insurer before you sign up any contractor, us included. The job goes better when the claim is already open.
All three kinds. Clean water from a burst pipe or failed hose, grey water from a washing machine or dishwasher, and black water from sewage or a backed-up drain.
The kind of water decides what can be kept. Carpet and underlay hit by clean water caught early can usually be dried in place. With grey water the underlay comes out and the carpet is cleaned and sanitised, and with black water both go, because no drying saves material soaked in sewage.
Grey and black water clean-up is quoted after an inspection. Storm water through a roof is judged on what we find, not on the weather: a roof leak is often clean water and dries like any other leak.
Fast. Mould can start on wet building materials within a day or two, so the sooner the water is out, the better your chances.
No one can tell you the exact hour mould starts. What matters is getting standing water out and drying under way quickly, then keeping at it until the readings say it is dry.
If mould has already taken hold on a surface, see our Perth mould cleaning page.
Scoped after an inspection, because how far the water travelled decides the method.
Step 01
Where it came from tells us what kind of water it is. Moisture meters and a walk through the adjoining rooms show how far it travelled, which is usually further than it looks.
Step 02
Standing and trapped water comes out first. Running dryers over water you could have pulled out just moves it into the air and the walls.
Step 03
Air movers and dehumidifiers placed for the room, then readings taken on each visit. If a number stops falling, the equipment moves.
Step 04
Dry means matching the readings in an unaffected part of the same building. That is the target, and it is why an honest quote cannot give you a number of days up front.
Four things that make the biggest difference in the first hour.
Turn off the water at the meter if you can. Do not switch on wet electrical or gas equipment until a licensed tradesperson has checked it, and if a powerline is down, stay well clear and call Western Power.
Walking on saturated carpet can separate the backing layers. Once that is severe, the carpet is replaced rather than dried, so this is damage you can prevent.
Take photos for the insurance claim before anything moves. Once the room is tidy, the evidence is gone.
Perth homes built before 1990 may contain asbestos. If wet fibro sheeting is broken or crumbling, stop and get a licensed asbestos removalist before anyone works near it.
With clean water caught early, often yes. Drying carpet and underlay in place is accepted practice for clean water.
Wet on its own is not fatal: the adhesive in carpet backing loses strength while wet and regains it once dry. It is walking on it while wet that usually does the damage.
Two things end it regardless. Severe delamination, where the backing layers have come apart, and an underlay with a built-in moisture barrier that stops it drying at all. We tell you which applies after the inspection, not before.
Six reasons, one line each.
Quoted after an inspection. Here is what drives the number.
How many rooms the water reached, and whether it got into walls or under hard floors.
Dehumidifiers and air movers are charged by how long they run. A single room caught early is a very different job to a spread found a fortnight later.
Underlay or damaged skirting is a separate line, quoted as it is identified rather than bundled in up front. Grey and black water jobs cost more, because material goes to disposal rather than being dried and kept.
Talk to your insurer before you commit to any contractor, including us. Then send photos, the rooms affected and what you think the source was.
Usually in this order, once the structure is dry.
If the water sat for a while, surface mould may need cleaning once it is dry. Mould cleaning
Once dry, salvageable carpet gets a proper clean rather than just a dry-out. Carpet cleaning
Hard floors under lifted carpet often need work before anything goes back down. Tile and grout

Lobbies and corridors after a pipe failure. Strata cleaning

The Perth metro area, from Joondalup to Rockingham, and Mandurah. Not on the list? Send your suburb and you will hear back the same day.
Coastal salt air and beach sand impact properties heavily here. Window tracks, exterior glass, and flyscreens need regular washing to stop salt corrosion.
A mix of commercial high rises, character homes, and modern units. Jarrah floor care and delicate limestone work are common across these areas.
Large family properties and industrial facilities. Paved alfresco spaces and bore reticulation mean pressure washing is regularly booked alongside a house clean.
Call our 24-hour emergency line on 0483 982 111 as soon as you find the water, and we give you a real arrival time. If your home is unsafe, call SES on 132 500 first, and if anyone is in danger, call 000.
That is between you and your insurer, and we do not handle claims. What we do is give you dated photos and written moisture readings that support a claim.
Until the readings match an unaffected part of the same building. A small room caught early can be quick, while a slab that has been wet for a fortnight will not be.
Yes. Black water from sewage or a backed-up drain and grey water from appliances are quoted after an inspection. Contaminated carpet and underlay are removed for disposal rather than dried, and the floor underneath is cleaned before anything goes back.
Because most of Perth's rain arrives between June and August, often with strong fronts. Clear gutters and sound roof tiles are simple, low-cost prevention.
Plumbing, more often than weather. Burst flexible hoses under sinks and basins are a common culprit, and checking them now and then costs nothing.
With clean water caught early, often yes. Stay off the wet carpet in the meantime, because walking on it is what separates the backing and ends any chance of saving it.
Yes. Offices, shops and strata common property, with the same moisture logging and written report. For a strata scheme we address the report to the strata company.
