Spent fireworks are not ordinary rubbish
Used fireworks, the empty tubes and cakes, are soaked in water before they are bagged into general waste. They never go into a recycling bin.
Set up before the gates open, roving crews during the event until 10pm, and an early-morning clean up from 6am the next day. Festivals, race days, markets, corporate functions and private parties across Darwin and Palmerston.
Our rates are published below. If your hire agreement sets a handback time the morning after, we start at 6am and size the crew so the site is clear by then.
Venue and reserve hire conditions often put the clean up on the hirer. Read them before you book a cleaner, because they set the job.
Whether a waste management plan is required. If it is, it usually asks what waste you expect, how it will be contained during the event, how it will be removed, and how many bins go where. We write the bin numbers and placement so that section is done rather than guessed.
When the site has to be handed back. If it is the morning after an evening event, the clean up starts at 6am and the crew is sized to finish on time.
What the deposit covers. Damage to lawns, gardens and fixtures inside the hire area is usually on the hirer, so oil, ice and confetti on grass are worth planning for before the day.
Fireworks night leaves a mess that is not like any other, and it is all cleared from 6am the next morning.
Used fireworks, the empty tubes and cakes, are soaked in water before they are bagged into general waste. They never go into a recycling bin.
Plastic caps and fragments end up across beaches, paths and lawns. We sweep the wider area, not just around the launch site.
We carry sharps containers as standard, and our crews do not pick anything up by hand that belongs in one.
Three separate phases, priced separately, because they are three different jobs.
We work bin numbers out from your attendance and how many meal times you run, not from the gate alone, and place them where people actually eat and queue.
Step 01
We walk the site with your plan, count the amenities and stall line, and work out where bins actually need to be rather than where they fit.
Step 02
Quoted per cleaner-hour against the three phases, so you can see what the roving crew costs against the clean up.
Step 03
Crew leader on your channel until 10pm, so a spill or a blocked amenity is a call, not a complaint.
Step 04
A dated photo record of the site as we left it. If a deposit is ever questioned, that is the evidence.
Because the big outdoor crowds are packed into the dry, and the wet is a different job entirely.
The major outdoor events fall in the dry season, May to October: race days, festivals, markets and the long weekends. That makes the season a queue rather than a spread, so a July or August event that calls in June is competing with everything else on the calendar.
From November to April events move under cover, which swaps litter picking across a field for floor care and entry matting. In the heat of the day we roster water and breaks for the crew, which can change how many people a long event needs.
Four things that hold events up when they are left late.
None of that is our paperwork, but we would rather raise it in the quote than watch an event get held up over it.
Six reasons, one line each.
NT rates including GST, charged per cleaner-hour.
| Phase | NT rate, per cleaner-hour |
|---|---|
| Pre-event cleaning and site preparation | $85 |
| Post-event cleaning and pack down | $95 |
| Heavy recovery | $109 |
Crew numbers and hours come off the site walk, attendance and how long you have to hand the site back. A tighter deadline needs more people, not more hours, and we will tell you which one your event needs.
Yes. A wedding at home, a milestone party, a corporate function in a venue, or a long lunch that got away from everybody.
Same three phases, smaller crew. Most private jobs are a single post-event booking the next morning, covering the kitchen, glassware and crockery, bathrooms, floors and the outdoor area, with rubbish and recycling taken away rather than left in your bins.
If your function is on hired ground rather than at home, check the handback time in your agreement before you plan a late one.
Usually on the same visit, which is cheaper than a second one.

Reserves, showgrounds, raceways, the Waterfront and private addresses. Festivals, race meetings, markets, sporting fixtures, corporate functions, weddings and private parties. Venue not listed? Send the address and we will confirm the same day.
Coastal salt air coats glass and louvre blades, requiring extra care on tracks.
High residential rental movement makes bond cleaning very common across these suburbs.
Larger family blocks and sheds often combine regular cleans with outdoor pressure washing.
Pre-event cleaning is $85 per cleaner-hour in the NT, post-event is $95, and heavy recovery is $109, all including GST. What changes the total is crew size and hours, which come off the site walk, the attendance and how long you have to hand the site back.
No. We work from 6am to 10pm, seven days. The evening pack down runs until 10pm, and anything left after that is cleared from 6am the next morning, with the crew sized to meet your handback time.
That depends on your hire agreement, so check the handback time before you book. If it is the morning after an evening event, we start at 6am and put enough people on to finish before the deadline.
Many venue and reserve hires ask for one. It usually covers the waste you expect, how it is contained and removed, and the number and location of bins, and we write the bin section for you.
It scales with attendance and with how many meal times you run, not with the gate alone. A six hour festival with two meal times usually needs more bins than a longer event with one, and we work the number out at the site visit.
Yes, from 6am the morning after. Spent fireworks are soaked in water before they go into general waste, never into recycling, and our crews carry sharps containers rather than picking anything up by hand.
For a dry season event, as early as you can. The big Darwin events fall between May and October, so crews are competing for the same weekends. If something goes wrong after the event and cannot wait, ring our 24-hour emergency line on 0483 982 111.
Yes. Same rates, smaller crew, and usually a single post-event booking the next morning covering the kitchen, glassware, bathrooms, floors and the outdoor area, with rubbish taken away rather than left in your bins.
We stay until it's right
Our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work. For end of lease cleans, if you're not satisfied and tell us within 72 hours, we come back and re-clean.
Send the venue, the date, expected attendance and when you have to hand the site back. We walk it and quote the three phases separately per cleaner-hour.
